PISA, lying on the banks of the Arno, preserves in its precious architecture memories of its glorious past as a Maritime Republic.
The complex of the Field of Miracles, declared by UNESCO "World Heritage", is a monumental space of inestimable value and great tourist attraction which brings together the most representative structures of the city. On a green lawn rise the white structures of the Cathedral and the Baptistery, both in Romanesque-Pisan, the Monumental Cemetery and the Campanile, known as the LEANING TOWER.
The inclination of the tower, due to subsidence of the land, made famous in the world monument that has become the symbol of the city.

Numerous festivals dedicated to local products and festivals including:

the cherry festival in Lari (May-June), village of cherries and castles,

and the National Exhibition of the white truffle of San Miniato (November).

 

Campaigns and green areas suggest infinite possibilities for hiking, trekking, mountain biking or trail rides.

 

Particularly interesting are the paths in the area of Volterra, in the magnificent scenery of the badlands.

The city, famous for the extraction and processing of alabaster, has a remarkable historical center of Etruscan origin.
